With Hitachi's lens shift technology, this projector can cover a total range of 2.7 screen areas vertically and 2.2 screen areas horizontally. In auditorium and convention halls with stationary screens, the projector can now be placed freely in any number of locations. For instance, the CP-X10000 can project images at 90 degrees up and down, opening up a whole new range of possible applications.
The CP-X10000 incorporates a side-mounted, four-layer filter which provides maximum defense against dust. This efficient filter lasts about 50 times longer than conventional filters*.
The rear lamp door allows for quick and easy lamp replacement. With its enhancements in lifespan and ease of maintenance, this projector is ideal for retail, digital signage and other environments where it will be in constant use.

Digital processing of the video signal is 10-bit from input to output, allowing smooth and natural gradations with 1,024 shades of each RGB color. In total, this projector can create 1,074 million colors. Additionally, a 2,500:1 contrast ratio with mechanical iris is controlled automatically to ensure optimum image contrast and depth perspective during both bright and dark scenes.
Plus, the CP-X10000 features a mechanical shutter to block off light, a valuable tool for any presentation.
The CP-X10000 utilizes three inorganic LCDs that offer greater light resistance. This translates to longer operating life and enables the installation of a stronger light source, achieving even greater brightness. The double-speed drive coupled with LCD panels offers not only improved picture quality but also higher contrast.
In addition, the inorganic LCD panels offer high reliability.
For better security, the CP-X10000 features a PIN Lock, My Screen PIN Lock and Transition Detector.
The PIN Lock ensures that only those who know the PIN can use the projector.
My Screen PIN Lock locks in a certain image as the startup screen. Using a school name, company logo or other unique image makes it clear who owns the projector to prevent use by unauthorized persons.
Plus, the Transition Detector and Security LED operate whenever the projection angle or settings are changed from the installed position, giving additional defense against unauthorized use.
The CP-X10000 remote control comes with four ID buttons. IDs can be assigned to each projector to prevent malfunction when operating multiple projectors at a time.
In addition, focus, zoom and lens shift can be adjusted via the remote control, which also features a built-in laser pointer.
The projector uses a new on-screen menu with an intuitive interface and sophisticated design. Its various functions are easily differentiated by icons, and a horizontal slide bar allows for easy operation.
Adding to user convenience is the network connectivity of the CP-X10000, which allows for simultaneous monitoring and control of several projectors from a remote location. This is particularly beneficial in large educational or corporate environments, where projectors are located throughout a facility and the monitoring of each can be a time-consuming ordeal.
Since all control functions are on the PC, this projector control application can help to reduce costs associated with lost remote controls and battery replacement.
Plus, Remote Mouse allows the user to control their computer's mouse functions via the projector remote.
The Network Bridge function allows for commands to be transmitted via the projector's LAN port to another device connected to the RS-232C output, such as an external TV tuner or control panel. Not only does this simplify installation and reduce cabling and installation costs, but also the individual RS-232C inputs and outputs allow the user to daisy chain multiple CP-X10000s together.
A single computer in a remote location can monitor and control the power and other functions of a single projector or as many networked projectors as needed.
E-mail Alert helps quickly address lamp replacement and other needs by sending an alert to ten designated e-mail addresses.
This permits a variety of control operations, such as automatically turning the power on and off at preset times.
Up to four still images can be transferred from a computer and shown on the screen at pre-determined times with the scheduling function.
